Our apologies to anyone interested and not yet registered in our track rascals program. The track rascals program for 2016 is now full and we will not be accepting new registration forms.
RCTFC club’s first foray into the indoor track scene was met with early season success on the track and in the field Feb 13-14, 2016!
Two Junior RCTFC athletes and three midget athletes showed up to compete in 15 events and came away with a Gold medal, four Silvers and three Bronze.
More importantly, the meet resulted in multiple strong early season performances all around as confirmed by Head Coach Sean Dixon.
“The hard work athletes have been putting into their winter training sessions is evident and these athletes are “right on track” for this early in the season which will set them up for accomplishing pbs and strong performances in their competitions later in the outdoor season!”

At the 2015 BC Athletic Awards banquet, two Royal City athletes won awards. Brianna Bates won a Midget 15 Track & Field Athlete Award for her performance of 38.38m in javelin throw. Jeneviève Patry-Smith won a Midget 14 Track & Field Athlete Award for her performances of 40.27m in javelin, 33.60m in discus, and 11.19m in shot put. Both girls competed on the national stage at the Legion Nationals in Quebec.
November 15th, Royal City Track and Field Club athletes were recognized for their accomplishments during the 2015 track and field and cross country seasons at the club’s annual awards banquet.
Congratulations to all RCTFC athletes for their commitment to training and competing and for personal best performances and to all RCTFC coaches for their dedication to the athletes in another exceptional year!

Emily Chilton, Gavin Fan, Emma Dolman, Ryan Jensen and Finnley Cookson volunteered at the recent New Westminster School District XC Elementary Championship.
The Royal City Track and Field Club hosted the recent New Westminster Elementary School District XC Championship at Moody Park. About 80 kids in grades 3-7 from 6 different elementary and middle schools turned out to race in their age group.
Thanks to Coach Sean Dixon and Jason Delasalle for planning, supporting and heading up the event on site, as well as several RCTFC parents for their roles at the finishline and along the course.
A special thanks to Emily Chilton, Emma Dolman, Gavin Fan, Finnley Cookson and Ryan Jensen for volunteering their time and talents as rabbits and turtles in the races and for cheering on and motivating the younger children in general.
Seven members of the Royal City Track and Field Club XC team travelled to Nanaimo to race at the BC Athletics XC Championship on October 24, 2015.
Congratulations to all of the competitors for strong and determined performances.
Highlights from the races included: Emily Bowles’ Bronze medal and Monika Arcadi’s 6th place finish in the 11 year old girls’ category; Elizabeth Bowles’ 8th place and Emma Dolman’s 10th place finish in the 13 year old girls’ agegroup, Grace Fetherstonhaugh’s 5th place finish and Ashlynne Stairs’ 10th place finish for 15 year old girls and Shea Janke’s 5th place finish for 14 year old boys’.
