Katie Stewart-Barnett captures Bronze in Junior Race
Congratulations to the Royal City Track & Field Club Cross Country Team who ran in sub zero temperatures as well as falling snow at the BC High School Cross Country Provincial Championships Saturday, November 4th at Jericho Park in Vancouver.
The high school athletes included: Ashlynne Stairs, Monika Arcadi, Isabella Brunoro, Katie Stewart-Barnett, Grace Fetherstonhaugh, Ryan Roberts, Shea Janke, Alex Romero and Ryan Goudron (who is in grade 9 but raced in the Senior Boys race)-all are to be congratulated for their strong performances in their 4.6km and 6.9km races!
Top 50 Performance Highlights (each race included well over 200 racers) included:
- Senior Boys (233 racers)-Shea Janke for 33rd place finish and Alejandro Romero for 18th place
- Senior Girls (242 racers)-Grace Fetherstonhaugh for 2nd place and Ashlynne Stairs for 30th place
- Junior Girls (249 racers)-Katie Stewart-Barnett for 3rd place and Isabella Brunoro for 7th place
