RCTFC athlete Lauren Vanee wins three firsts, aggregate award, sets two meet records at BCCSSAA trackmeet

Royal City Track and Field Club athlete Lauren Vanee won three first place ribbons and set two BCCSSAA (BC Christian Secondary Schools Athletic Association) trackmeet records on Friday, April 16, 2015 while representing Carver Christian Secondary School track and field team. Her records were set in Junior Girls’ 300m hurdles and Junior Girls’ 500g javelin.

Vanee ran the 300m hurdles in 51.82. She threw to 34.85m in javelin which was not only a meet record but also a personal best throw.
Vanee’s success at the meet also included winning the Junior Girls’ 400m.
In recognition of her top performance at the meet, Vanee was also the recipient of the 2015 BCCSSAA Junior Girls’ Aggregate Award for top grade 9/10 female.
