Royal City’s own Lauren Vanee was named the top senior track and field athlete in mid April after setting meet records in both the javelin and 400 metre hurdles.

Six of Royal City Track & Field Club’s 14+ athletes kicked off the spring competition season by competing Saturday, April 9 at the Emilie Mondor Invitational Meet at Simon Fraser University track. The athletes competed in long jump, triple jump, javelin, sprint hurdles, 800m and 1500m.

Congratulations to Jeremy Belcher, Emily Chilton, Grace Fetherstonhaugh, Lauryn Savela, Lauren Vanee and Brianna Bates for their performances!
