TRACK RASCAL MINI-PENTATHLON

On the final Track Rascal training day in June we will hold a mini-pentathlon for all Track Rascal athletes at Mercer Stadium followed by a barbecue.  All RCTFC athletes and their families are invited to attend. Mark your calendars as this is always a fun event!

We are always looking for parents to assist with this event. Please contact one of our executive if you are able to assist with either the mini-pentathlon or with the barbecue. This is a great annual event which is enjoyed by all and an excellent way to celebrate all the hard work of our athletes!

BC ATHLETICS JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT CRESTS

Bronze, silver, and gold level crests are awarded to all JD athletes who meet the respective published BC Athletics standards for their age categories in three events. All performances must be attained at track and field meets recognized by the BC JD Committee. Parents are encouraged to review the standards, and keep track of their child’s results to see if they qualify for crests. Crests are awarded to athletes at the RCTFC Annual Awards Banquet.

BC ATHLETICS JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT AWARDS

If an athlete competing in this age category meets the BC Athletics criteria of:

1. Attending three recognized BC JD meets (where at least one must be the JD Championship Meet or JD Pentathlon)
2. Participating in a throw, jump, and run/walk event, and
3. Achieves a published standard,

Then he or she is eligible to be nominated for a JD award. A nomination form MUST be completed before any athlete will be considered for an award. Awards are presented at the Annual BC Athletics JD Awards Banquet.

BC ATHLETICS U16 AWARDS

If an athlete in the U16 age category meets the BC Athletics criteria of:

1. Attending 3 recognized BC meets (where at least one must be the Championship Meet or Pentathlon), and
2. Meets the published standard,

Then, he or she is eligible to be nominated for a BC Athletics award. A nomination form MUST be completed before any athlete will be considered for an award. Awards are presented at the Annual BC Athletics Awards Banquet.

BC ATHLETICS ATHLETE OF THE YEAR AWARD

For athletes U18 or older, BC Athletics nominates and awards male and female Athlete of the Year. All nominees are invited to attend the Annual BC Athletics Awards Banquet.

RCTFC ANNUAL AWARDS BANQUET / AGM

Each year at the conclusion of the annual season the club hosts an awards banquet in conjunction with our annual general meeting.  This annual event is a great opportunity to come out with your fellow track families and celebrate the accomplishments of all our athletes ages 9 and up. There is no cost to attend.
